aggienaut Previously I had found it rathter irritating when I was innocently stalking people perusing facebook and all of a sudden this chatbox opens up and I've got to make conversation with someone suddenly. It's kind of like if when you were creeping outside someone's window their ned flanders esque neighbour suddenly started having a casual conversation with you.
Previously, I had used a programme called "Trillian" to integrate all my instant messengers into one programme. Unfortunately, however, it had some kind of serious problem for awhile (I forget what actually) and I reinstalled it three times until it worked (turns out I had to manually wipe out every last vestigial trace of it that was left when it reinstalled in order for it to reinstall correctly). Once I finally got this fixed it worked right for a week or two before it stopped displaying my the buddylist. Ie, I couldn't see who was online. This has been the case for at least the last month, since I didn't feel like reinstalling it again (and as such, you probably haven't noticed but I haven't really started any conversations in the last month).
Now, however, I have installed a programme called "Pidgin" which does the same thing (integrating disparate chat programmes), but can also integrate Facetwitter Facebook messenger.
I've been running on that for a day and so far so good. So what this means, is now I can talk on Facebook without it opening up the annoying in-browser window. Which means I'll probably be talking on it a lot more! So now _I_ can be the annoying Ned Flanders esque neighbour who will suddenly engage you in conversation while you just want to catch a glimpse of what your ex is up to or find out if that hottie you have your eye on is flirting with anyone else.
So, PREPARE TO BE CHATTORIZED!
And as long as I'm updating, Mark & I met my dear friend Mara and her boyfriend at Stone Brewery yesterday. I was positively heartbroken, however, to discover they no longer carry their to-die-for onion rings )= )= I am now despondent in fact.
