Field Report

Hello all from Rochester, New York. I've been having grand adventures and have somewhere around 390 photos to sort through when I get back.

The most basic report though is this:

1. Mullets are apparently hip in Europe. Especially ones with dreadlocks in the back (but clean close cropped hair in front)!

2. It's fashionable for girls to wear what Kerri and I have termed "genie pants" -- it looks like a long skirt but then right at the ankles it comes together as pants... for maximum inconvenience?

3. I had the most delicious duck sandwich in Barcelona. Possibly the highlight of the trip. :D

In unrelated news don't forget that on the first 30 in 30 V or VI or something starts. I expect you all to join in on the fun (: we've already got a number of people who have expressed interest.

You missed out on my bees. I came home to a swarm the other day. (Pics in LJ.) They've moved right in to my stairwell. I hope they're gone by the time I get home because apparently two calls to the front office weren't enough to get it through their heads that there is a serious risk to people on the 2nd and 3rd floors. (I don't care, I'm on the 1st floor.)

Mullets=vomit rising up into my mouth.
Those pants crept into Chicago, too, but fortunately very few people are wearing them. Yuck!
