And so, before I commit to an apparently unchangeable username, anyone have any ideas??? (am currently leaning towards 321shenanigans, but figure I'll give it an hour or two to see if I can come up with something better -- if you steal it in the mean time I will killorize you!)

Yeah that's what I use for my twitter and some other things. It's my latest favourite username. But even I at first got confused as to whether I had used Arrrghonaut or Arggghonaut or Arrrgonaut or Arrrgonaught .... d:

I ended up using my first and middle initials with my last name. My name is super common, so I had no interest in claiming it for its own sake, but this way, people can find me and it's still my name.

I like 321shenanigans, though. That's fun.

Yeah, I was thinking it needs to be sometihng easy to explain and rememeber. I noticed in Spain that all the people I was meeting, by now there's so many people on FB that a name alone isn't very good at all for finding them, and was actually thinking FB is gonna need to do something about that. Now the problem with my name is I can't just tell it to people, I have to spell it out, because Kris is not the standard spelling obv, and no one is going to know how to spell Fricke either... (though on the plus side once they got that down they should be able to narrow down their search results to either me or my name-twin Kristen Fricke, who is a lot more attractive, and female, than I)...

I had the same problem. sushimustwrite is already so known, and my real name is unique but hard to spell. I went with the real name because that'll never change.

I figured being as one can already search by name, having a username of one's own name is a bit redundant. I was thinking of the username as an easier way to direct someone to find you without having to explain spelling (or multiple persons of same name for more common names), as such I also dismissed use of our last name for spelling issues.
