BEST NEWS CLIP EVER!

And you know what? My class in high school pretty much did EXACTLY everything in this clip. In that order. The only thing we didn't do was the stop-frame with the bulleted facts. Every thing else? Oh yeah. We totally did that shit. XD

Yeah it's funny because it really does seem exactly like a news clip. If I was watching it on mute and didnt' read the bullets I'd probably assume it WAS a news story.

Or even if you had it playing in the background and didn't really notice what it was about, you'd think it was just some news clip.

OMG! I want to see an indy film put that in the background as "tv noise" and have it be a super seekrit easter egg. How awesome would that be?!

hahah, that was A+++. Thanks for posting it!! Prior to this, the only other thing I knew of by Charlie Brooker was Nathan Barley (and now I understand even more so why that show was so hilariously brilliant; him and Chris Morris together, great combination!) Anyhow, I'm gonna check out the rest of Newswipe!

Damn, youtube seems to have taken down all the full episodes of the show (although I'm sure you can find them through other means if you're really interested), but to summarize:

Nathan Barley was a TV show collaboration between Chris Morris and Charlie Brooker (both super talented and awesome), from I think about 2005 (it only had one season, six episodes). It was a satire/social commentary on the hipster culture, and how dumb those who partake in it are (labeled "The Idiots") however, it was also great (in my opinion), in that it showed how even "smart" people aren't free of the same basic shortcomings that lead hipsters to be so dumb.

It's a really, really dry comedy, so I don't really recommend it to too many people, but it's an all time favorite of mine. Here's a clip from the first episode:
