Aughhh I just spent an hour working on an LJ entry and LJ crashed and lost it!!!

I used to take precautions against that, saving drafts periodically, but it's been so good about autosaving for the last few years now and I thought it couldn't happen anymore... but for some reason it appears to have no autosaved at all on that last one. I couldn't coax it to bring anything back. Aughhh ::bangs head against wall::


I haaate retyping the exact same thing twice in a row. ): ):

Try loading up the post window on a different computer/browser. Sometimes that has gotten me my post back!

Tried it, didn't work. And then I tried typing the first letter of the entry in the hopes that it maybe saved it the way it saves form inputs, though I knew this was a longshot. Well I typed the one letter and "autosave..." appears at the bottom of the screen. And then I reopened the update window and it asked me if I wanted to load from autosaved draft and gave me back that letter. d: d:

I'm really frustrated. I'm writing the entry again immediately because it'll bother me otherwise until I write it, but I know I'm leaving out huge chunks of what was in it before and not putting nearly as miuch effort into it, because I'm so frustrated. I really hate it when this happens d:
