Picture of the Day

When I have a bunch of very similar pictures I have the hardest time trying to figure out which is the best to use and which ones to discard. And then sometimes I'll just end up posting them all to flickr. So feel free to tell me which of these seven you think is subtly better.


In other news, after several reschedulings it my next project in Nigeria is currently on the books for April 1st-17th. On top of that it looks like we might add another project, in Egypt, by a different aid organization (ACDI/VOCA) immediately prior. So suddenly in three weeks I should be spending a month traipsing about Africa!

Looking at the photos from L to R I like #! and #3. You gotta pick one where the bees are lined up even on top of each other. Whatever you posted on your LJ earlier was quite charming.

I think the best two are:
gIMG_7285b and
IMG_7275b
with gIMG_7285b being slightly more appealing than the other.

I think for me, what catches my eye is the front row of bees - that's what I'm looking at, and in IMG_7275b, there's a little bit of fog or smoke or out of focus or something that is disrupting my visual of the front row of bees in a noticeable way, whereas in gIMG_7285b it doesn't distract from the bees.

Yay bees for lining up :)
