The End Is Always Bitter

Computer is still fried. We think windows is corrupted; retore CD was in Davis so I couldn't do anything until I got here. Found what appears tp be a restore CD but I couldn't make it do anything with it. Been trying to get ahold of my uncle Ben who is a computer person for the engineering department here, but have so far been unable to get ahold of him. Even if I was able to get my computer operational though, since Steve took the router with him when he moved out we don't have internet in the apt.
Anyway, since I'm obsessed with livejournal now I just couldn't live without it - so I made some entries with pen and paper.
Monday, September 15th - Fangorious Good Times
24:51 - Just checked homestarrunner.com (on the working computer). The latest email was hellof funny. The new Teen Girl Squad was also for excellent. Now back to reading Despite Everything.
Wednesday, September 17th
24:21 - I can't remember yesterday for the life a me. Maybe I'm just confused about what day it is or something. Maybe I partied too hard last night.
Today my paternal grandfather (“Dad-dad”) an uncle Kim arrived from New York, and maternal grandparents (“Mum-mum and Roger,” the whole naming convention started with “Daddys-mum” and then spread to the other grandparents, except Roger who is called “Roger” by absolutely everyone.) drove down from Camarillo (about two hours north). This is all in preparation for little brother’s Marine Corps gradumatation events on Thursday and Friday. On the subject of bootcamp and relatives, my uber-“liberal” aunt Sherrie’s official statement about Eric doing bootcamp: “I just wish they could build discipline in a less inhumane and more respectful manner.” Wtf. You cannot build discipline with pot-lucks and sing-a-longs. I hate it when people so completely loose sight of reality like that. I don’t much like Sherrie; for all her righteous “hippie” sentiments, she has extremely fascist opinions of how young people should be treated (she is a teacher in Davis. Her leftist/fascist mentality is actually fairly representative of the off, and hearing her talk about it enrages me.
Anyway, tonight I saw The Weakerthans at Chain Reaction. They were for awesome. I really go the sense that theys were good people (and you know I love to make immediate judgements on people like that).
This girl I didn’t recognize totally had a shirt made out of a ripped-up and reconstituted Wild Rivers lifeguard shirt. I thought it was for excellent. Then I ran into deepguard Ryan Lee; Wild Rivers repruhsenting!!
I ate a tainted hot dog for lunch and it severely deterred by mood to rock out. Even now my stomach is in some pain. Damn rancid hotdog!!
Oh yeah, yesterday I hung out with my friend Nidia. Having met her in 9th grade (at an MUN conference of course) I think she now may be my longest running friend. Anyway, like everyone else she unsuccessfully attempted to get me drunk (with the best tequila I’ve ever had!), then we saw Matrix II (for $1 each! I thought it wasn’t nearly as good as the first one.), and she marveled at my utter unfamiliarity with ANYTHING on TV. Also she is completely whipped by the boy she likes. I think I left my sunglasses at her place. )=
Friday, September 19th – The End is Always Bitter
24:38 - Eric from The List called me to say that they had a show at The Hub in Fullerton today. I stopped by Diedrichs on the way up, to say goodbye to everyone, but nearly all the usual kids had gone to some “bro party” for the free beer. Laney was there, and so were both the Matts, but the latter I think may have been rather messed up already.
I then drove half an hour north to Fullerton, arriving just as The List finished. Hung out there for a little while, a bunch of guys talked to me because they thought my “steel reserve” shirt was for awesome. It was cool I met a bunch of awesome guys.
Then as I headed home I saw a bunch of people over by Diedrichs and stopped by to see what was goin on. Turns out it was just a bunch of friend of MtHH. As soon as I walked up, this one guy was like “steel reserve is fucking shitty beer,” and then MtHH was like “pretty much” hypocrite. I asked if anyone else was around and this girl Stephanie (the really skinny one) said “no” with this smug no-one-here-likes-you look on her face. I turned around and walked away. Goodbye Diedrichs.
And that’s all I have time for now.. computer lab is closing so I’ll write the Davis adventures part next time. After I wrote everything I just wrote (and more!) the whole thing was lost for some inexplicable reason (I hadn’t even pressed anything I swear.. I was just doing IMs and I come back and most of its gone) so that was extremely weak sauce. School starts tomarrow. /=
