So I finally got around to watching that 9/11 conspiracy theory video "Loose Change" a few weeks ago when Chad posted about it. Just as I suspected, it was a pile of tin-foil-cap conspiracy theory. Unfortunately, I think many of the more politically naive may be alarmed by it, but for my part I found nearly every assertion to be highly suspect.

The many problems with it are far too numerous to even begin to address. In fact, the State Department Counter-Misinformation Team has issued a 10,000 page report in rebuttal to these conspiracy theories. Anyway, I just wanted to highlight one particularly glaring example of how misleading the "documentary" is:
At the end of part one the video is talking about the impact hole in the Pentagon. It compares the size of a hole in a photograph to the size of the cabin of a 757 and argues that the aircraft couldn't have made that hole. The photograph does indeed show what appears to be a large hole blasted through the side of a building ... however there is an anarchy symbol spraypainted on the wall beside it on one side, and a "no parking" sign on the other. Incidently there is not vehicle access on the inside of the ring (which is what the shot is supposed to be), and I deeply doubt anyone in the pentagon was about to paint an anarchy symbol on the wall beside that hole.
In conlusion, the video's producers knowingly used completely unrelated footage as "evidence" to make their delusional point.

On Friday I was able to get off work and help Lyric & Sashie move their stuff in to their new apartment in San Diego. Kristy is moving in with them as well but she'll be coming down from Davis a few days later. The moving went very smoothly since we had a lot of people helping (also present were Sashie's parents, Lyric's parents, Lyric's sister Forest Lyric's boyfriend, & Lyric's boyfriend's roommate. Lyric's boyfriend currently goes to law school in SD, & Forest just started as a freshman at San Diego State, so Kristy & co already have some friends in town.
When we arrived, the toilet was in the bathtub, which was kind of concerning, but a guy came over and installed it in its correct orientation before too long.

Afterwords we all ate at this restaurant called Anthony's on the water. There was an old Soviet sub marked nearby in the maritime museum (I'm definitely gonna have to check that out soon!), which was awesome. Then a bummed around with Sash & Lyrakeet for a bit.
When I set about to go home, I intended to retrace the route I had come in on. It should have been a simple escape turning onto Genesee, getting on the 163, 805, 5, and home. Unfortunately, however, there was no street sign at Genesee (I looked carefully because I was pretty sure it was it, and there was definitely no sign - why do they sometimes neglect to put street signs in? I hate that), so I proceeded past it and turned right at the next street. This street crossed the 163 and the 805 without any northbound onramps or any 805 signs at all, then came around and eventually had a 163 onramp. Getting on the 163 I had no idea I had already passed the 163/805 juncture and so I shot off inland for some 20 miles before I realized I was headed to Riverside. Hopped on the 78 and rode it for another 7 leagues or so until I caught up with the 5 in Oceanside.

Saturday evening being the only evening all week where I didn't have to get up early the following morning, and my parents being gone, I of course had to live it up. And by live it up, I mean I went to Diedrichs for a little while and then came home and watched The Beast by myself. I know I know I need to tone it down a bit.
Today I bummed around and took care of various stuff. Tomorrow I have my Second Pass for signing up for classes. Hopefully all the lower div science breadth requirement classes (specifically Intro to Brewing) haven't been pillaged by the freshies due the to absolutely retarded decision of the administration to lock everyone but freshies out of those classes until pass 2. )=<

Okay now I have a pileup of ideas for entries again, and lots of debaucherous pictures from last night, but unfortunately it took longer than I'd thought editing them (since I took 165 pictures last night and all...). So I'm running really late for to rock out at Rock It, so I'm just gonna have to jam together the fastest entry ever.

Here are some teasers:

Now see the rest here.

That is all.

(if I knew how I'd animate these two pictures together...)
