On Friday my cell phone escaped from my pocket while on a unitrans bus (at least I hope thats where it escaped). Unitrans brings their lost and found to the Memorial Union Information Desk every morning... of the school week. So I'm without a phone this weekend. )=
Kristy's computer is broken. In addition to all the hardships associated with trying to do homework without a computer, this also causes Kristy and I to have no way to communicate. )=

My flatmates went on a cleaning frenzy last night because a prospective replacement of Ben was coming to look at the apartment this morning. Ben is intent on escaping as soon as he graduates next quarter. Now that our place is actually clean, we're thinking of maybe having a party next weekend. There will, of course, NOT be anyone banninated from said party, as that would be childish.

Also I'd like to note, that while I appreciate that I was missed at the party last night, the practice of unblocking me just to drop me little messeges like that and then retreating behind the blocking again seems very silly. We recommend anyone who wishes to block someone on AIM either do so completely, or not at all, but NOT use it as a tool to subject someone to your thoughts without having to hear their responses. This practice has also been determined by an expert panel to be childish.

In unrelated news there are emphatic rumours that a case has been filed for the ASUCD Supreme Court. I have yet to be officially notified however. A second case is rumoured to be likely to be filed as well, but I've learned to believe it when I see it. If this turns out true former Vice Chief Justice Daniel Raff, one of our most enthusiastic justices during his term, will likely be quite disturbed, as he resigned about an hour before I heard about the case that allegedly has been filed.
Furthermore, while we cannot currently make quorum, new potential justices were interviewed earlier in the week and according to normal time frames should have been confirmed at Senate on Thursday. For whatever reason, they were not there (I'm not involved in this process). If a case has been filed his will likely delay the whole process another week.

Also, Kristy and I totally saw a man with a hook for a hand the other day. For serious.

Picture of the Day
Camera is currently somewhat broken. Display screen won't display. While this doesn't preclude taking pictures, it does preclude adjusting any of settings on the camera, therefore reducing control of quality to disposable-camera levels. Furthermore, this is quite disheartening.

The System is [No Longer] Down - After not having a working computer for some time, I am up and running again.
Two Years Ago Last Tuesday: Amwest 2003 - And Marberry-v-Madison Pie. I go to the Amwest conference as a delegate. My friends from Saddleback College, Mara and Ackbar, are in my committee. I distinguish myself by reading relevant excerpts from my Qur'an (Committee was The Islamic Conference). Returning home we have a hearing for ASUCD Supreme Court case # 22. Also there are links posted to several newspaper articles about the removal attempts against me. Finally, this entry encompasses Thanksgiving 2003 as well, at which my relatives commented on the remarkably beautiful girl I'd been seen "escorting about town" (Kristy of course).
Two Years Ago Last Wednesday: Faulty Computer Systems Already - I download Kazaa and my computer is already acting less healthy than a rabid leper.
Two Years Ago Last Thursday: Cestuosity - I delete Kazaa and my computer consequently appears to have Grade A health. Also I define "MUNcest" and coin several related words. This year I'd like to add the word Fratcest: when your "fraternity" is 60+% female and Boris Kogan is in it, fratcest is guaranteed to occur.
Two Years Ago Yesterday: Living With Cold Fish - I think flatmate Jill is a cold fish and speculate that I hope to vote her off the island at the end of the year. Incidently she didn't stay on for the following year, but I think I'd rather she stayed. Also, I craved chicken strips, two years later, yesterday, I would also get a distinct craving for chicken strips and drive across town to get some.

Hello Kris. Haven't spoken to you much at all this quarter. I hope that's because you are positively engaged, not because your life is going down the tubes...!
Call when you get your phone back.

The second ASUCD Supreme Court case was filed with SGAO at about 1:20 PM today. You might want to check your box again.

you punkass. I was ON the third floor at the time -- I could gone and picked it up. How did you get to SGAO without me spotting you from the Entertainment Council office, from which I thought I had a chokehold and entrances and exits to the third floor.

and of course I haven't been officially notified of this case yet either. Someone needs to have a gentle talk with SGAO about that, because every day counts with these thigns and they should have told me about this case by now. I'm not sure I'd have been officially notified of the case filed friday if I hadn't asked about it. I don't feel comfortable even asking them for these things, I don't like to go on any information I haven't received in an official capacity. )=

Kristen just sent out the list of four new appointments to the ASUCD Supreme Court. Since confirmations are suppose to be at this coming senate meeting, and it appears she CCed almost the entire galaxy, here are the nominees.

Timothy James Coady
Joseph Harney
Marc Maassarweh
Judith Ruggiero-Reed

Everyone in the galaxy except me however. I hope they emphasized the importance of you all showing up at the senate meeting this thursday, no?

She did in fact state that confirmations were to be this week, though Kristen's email said wednesday in Mee. Will need to double confirm about that.

I of course will be there to get confirmed. I also have perhaps a 3rd and 4th case in the works for us, so we'll be nice and busy.

Unless you're filing it yourself, you'll want to play down your involvement in bringing about any cases. ;)

I think I'll go ahead and take the initiative of emailing you all I guess.

Wait, there ought to be _four_ new justices. Crap on this.

I will not be involved in either case, I am merely getting the ball rolling for the various aggrieved parties.

Unless I am mistaken, the 4 people Caliph nominated to the court are all new.

Well there's 6 vacancies. I just heard they're reposting the position though.

Ah, righto... yes, it is sad that of the 24 people who applied for the vacancy, Caliph was only able to find 4 that he deemed qualified to nominate. Though I hear there was a lot of confusion regarding interviews due to being rescheduled after Thanksgiving.
