Mackeson: The New Champion
Jul. 14th, 2007 11:56 am
After extensive research and testing, I think I have determined that Mackeson Triple Stout may be my very favourite beer, surpassing previous champion Black Hart Irish Stout (both available from Trader Joes). This is unfortunate because I think Black Hart has a much cooler name. (=

Regarding Hotdog-Sammich
Date: 2007-07-14 07:40 pm (UTC)Clearly it isn't the fact that there is meat, else there could be no pbj
But clearly things like tacos are not sammiches. So perhaps it is the type of bread, as one could put the contents of a taco, in another bun, and it becomes a sammich. Thusly anything with something within or between some form of sammich bread (most leavened loaf breads) would qualify as a sammich?

Date: 2007-07-14 08:02 pm (UTC)Personally, I believe a sandwich consists of miscellenious stuff between bread, but certain between-bread contents, such as patties or cylinders of meat do NOT make sandwiches or any subset of sandwiches. That is, I personally do NOT believe that burgers are sandwiches, nor are hot dogs.
Time to look up exactly what it was that the Earl of Sandwich invented

Date: 2007-07-15 04:45 am (UTC)Calling a hamburger a sandwich always struck me as being rather elitest. However, I have no problem with the terminology tube steak. It is so obviously a sarcastic over-gentrification of the lowly dog.
