Fear and Loathing from Berkeleyites

Yesterday (Tuesday), my brother Tobin (nibot)and his latest woman, Nadia (HLWN?), came to Davis to take possession of my cherished automobile. This being their first time really in Davis, they marvelled as well at our esteemed city here, making such statements as "my god, its so flat!" "it's so... collegiate," and "where are all the bums???" (I remind you, they're from Berkeley). I did my best to give them a thorough Davis experience, getting them lost in the Social Sci building and even convincing them to go visit my favorite creation, the Oxford Circle ("Little Big People") Park.
Aannd of course Tobin drove off into the sunset (after raiding my apartment for consumables) with The Zephyr, may it rest in piece. So... I now am without car )= ::abject self pity::
Fear and Loathing in Yolo County
Bumped on over to UC Davis last night on the 18:30 inter-campus shuttle. The shuttle was all booked up with reservations but luckily six of the eleven people didn't show up — all the stand-by passengers could travel, with room to spare. Davis boggled our minds with its sheer, yes, mind-boggling flatness, where staircases seem to be erected gratuitously just to lend some vertical relief. But the campus also has spatious tree-lined quads and grassy fields, leaving me pondering a Californian Lundakarneval... well, I suppose they have Picnic Day. Drove home to Berkeley in the VW van.
The plan for today is to jet out on some camping enterprise, something like HUMBOLDT OR BUST, TAKE II. But first there's work to be done, splorg.org to be relocated, maps to be found, food to be provisioned. Now, to the modeling of tetracyanoethelene...
omg someone behind me (in the computer lab here) talking quietly to his friend jsut said "...this is hecka open..." disturbing. Anyway, I'm in the computer lab in the basement of Olson, but I still feel extremely caffiene deficient. blah. Week is half over, but this weekend is being taken over by MUN. Psha. I think I'll just... move to Colorado.
