During my attempts to make images on flickr show up I randomly clicked back to page a hundred and something on my photostream (there's 4,768 pictures, 265 pages worth) and determined that all my old pictures, pretty much anything hosted on any of the other flickr servers (farms?) was showing up fine. And then I got to going through the pictures and reminiscing. And I came across one or two that I don't think I ever posted here that I thought were worth posting.

Pictured above is the Port Townsend longboat race. Longboat is, well, what you see a bunch of there. They can be either rowed or sailed. Myself and the other members of the Chieftain crew only got to watch for a few seconds before the captain, like cliche hard-nosed captain of olde, yelled at us to get back to work.

In other news, the problem I was having seems to have miraculously resolved itself. The washed out bridge picture is from where I had lunch the other day. The field out in Bucca is more than 20 ks from anywhere, so returning to civilization for lunch is out of the question, and there's no shade in the fields, so I drove a few minutes down the road and around the barrier and out to the middle of the washed out "Smith's Crossing" bridge. It was quite pleasant down there:

Yep that's the view from my break room :D

THIS is downtown Moorepark. Yep. The big city, this is.

Today was kind of a downer. Still working with Greg, his mood was much better than yesterday, but he's still finding fault with everything I do, and you know, that's kind of draining to be around day in and day out.

And Trevor, the bossman, had placed a replacement taillight in the back of my truck for me to have the mechanic put on when he got a chance (the former one was smashed when I was rear ended on Saturday). Today I discovered it is no longer in the back of the ute.
Nothing else of that size (or any size) has bounced out of the back of the truck. ): He was surprisingly cool about me getting rear ended my first week on the job, but I feel like losing the replacement taillight has gotta be seen as a fuckup. ): So that's been weighing on me today as well.

On the bright side, in an hour it's thanksgiving! Not that the celebrate it here or eat turkey (even though they have so many "bush turkeys" they're considered a huge pest?).

From the beach in my front yard again.

Today on the way home from work I stopped by the pizza place that's on the way and got a "South Seas" pizza (basically hawaiian with some more stuff on it), and when I got home a plunked down on the beach and had my south seas pizza, while watching the South Seas!

This beach is literally about 150 yards from my front door. Seen here, I got up early to see the sunrise over the ocean (three more similar from the same morning).

The down side to living on the beach though is THERE'S SAND EVERYWHERE!! I feel like I'm becoming OCD, picking up the broom and manically sweeping away some sand every five minutes or so. Life is hard ;)

Things appear to be going quite well workwise and all.

A little fun with photoshop (=

My friend Mark and I. That mustache he has is REAL!! I'm quite envious.
And you can't really tell but I'm holding a sword.

\More related pictures under the cut! (Including one of me dressed similarly at around the age of 16!)

Just another day at work

In other news, I've been neglecting the blogging of late, but some friends and I got to talking and through excessive foolishness this somehow escalated into a challenge to make 30 entries in 30 days!! Specifically, an entry a day throughout the month of June. Anyone else up for the challenge?

Finally, after an unusually dry year, RAIN!

Also, see if you can spot the airplane. (=
