Misguided Titles, Misguided Columnists

   I love how the title the California Aggie assigned to my letter to the editor contradicts the actual purpose of the letter. They titled it "Watson misguided by communist shirt," whereas the whole point of the letter was that it was an Aeroflot Airlines shirt and NOT a "communist shirt" as Watson had misconcieved it. I had even recommended the title of "Watson Whitewashes Racism," in my opinion a much better title that combines alliteration and Watson's own phrase to concisely summarize the fundamental error in comparing Aeroflot Airlines and Heinrich Himmler -- a grievious violation of Godwin's Law I might add.

   Hammer and sickle with wings: the official Aeroflot logo -- recent proposals to change it have been shot down by customer surveys which indicate the logo to remain very popular with Aeroflot customers. -- maybe it looked more intimidating to Watson in red and yellow as it is on my shirt?
   Ian Watson's article: "Nothing screams 'I'm ignorant' or 'I like whitewashing oppression and murder' more than a good communist T-shirt..."
