Thursday morning at the bus stop there were, among other people, these two guys that looked cartoonishly jock-like. They were practically square, like Strong Mad. As they're getting on the bus, one of them says in a voice everyone can hear "so the tests came back and they weren't positive for herpes but the doctor says I still might have it.. I think its gonna be okay though" to which the other one, who had a white guy with a completely shaved head, responded "no, its NOT okay. Its not okay until I know I'm not gonna get that shit from you!" Uh, you're not gonna get it from talkign to me" "Whatever, that shit is contagious..." and basically the entire ride to school it went around with the skinheaded guy being convinced he was gonna get it, and the other guy casually playing it down. Within a short time everyone else in the bus was whispering to whomever was next to them about it.

On Friday evening Kristy, her flatmates and I went to The Grad again for their dollar drinks before ten. As before we got as many as we could before the price went up at ten, creating a veritable horde. Their former flatmate Joe even took a break from brewing beer to join us again. Then the flatmates all rocked out, and there was general craziness.

Saturday during the day was our little practice MUN conference -- the mock model United Nations conference that we replaced the actual conference of CalMUN Anaheim with a few years ago. Last time we went Jordan Smart spoke in a russian accent for the entire eight hour drive back -- no wonder we don't do it anymore. Anyway our fake fake UN conference was boring as expected, and when not justifying the Saudi Arabian policy on capital punishment I was guiding my viking people in Civilazation III on my computer.

Friday evening Phi Alpha Delta (PAD) had our "little sib revealing" where the incoming pledges get to find out which member has been assigned to guide them through the pledge process and egg them on for their own amusement. My little sib didn't show up so my evil plot for world dominion will be slightly delayed. The event was at the corn maze in Woodland, which was pretty cool. I'd always wanted to go to a corn maze but never gotten around to it before. I think Michelle & I (& her pledgling) finished first, a clear testament to our awesomeness.

From there I went back home only to return a few hours later with Ben for this big costume party in Woodland, one of the hosts of which was in PAD. Ben went as Johnny Bravo, which was pretty cool. I couldn't think of anything creative so I donned my black cloak and was an evil jedi with a mohawk, or something (or the grim reaper with a mohawk and no scyth).
Around 1:00 Ben & I departed that place caught up with Kristy at another costume party in the Temescal apartment complex in North Davis. This was a "C" themed party, everyone had to be something starting with a C. Kristy was a cat. It looked like it was a really strongsauce party, Ben and I wished we'd gotten there sooner.

Two Years Ago And A Week Ago Today:
The Devil v The Devil - On who's really controlling the puppets in my court room.
Two Years Ago Last Tuesday: ASUCD Tahoe Retreat 2003 - President Sara Henry foreshadows her lack of understanding of the concept of three equal branches of government, and general good times are had by all. I was looking forward to doing it again but last year Comptroller Menezes planned it on halloween weekend and this year comptroller Whitney isn't planning on having it at all. Did you know the Government Codes mandate that there must be three retreats per year?
Two Years Ago Last Thursday: Taking Back Monday - Taking Back Sundays plays acoustic on the quad, because the bureaufascists in campus events wouldn't let them use amplified sound, despite the fact that the group that did have the sound permit that day gave them permission. This would later result in an ASUCD senator (Lydiana Alfaro) making an ass of herself and then getting further pwned by this livejournal.
Two Years Ago Last Friday: Snapple Piracy - a classic tale of piracy, vindication, and firebombing a city.
Two Years Ago Today: Death to Officer Chang - I unexpectedly come face to face with my nemisis, Officer Chang, when he comes to ASUCD to whine and feed them filthy filthy lies about why he got fired. I'd have given him a firm shellacking but I think I was positively shaking with anger and hadn't recovered from the unexpected shock of seeing him there until it was too late.

I bought a new laptop, a Dell Inspiron 6000, which should be here in "two to three" days. In the mean time I get to hang out in the apartment complex computer lab here d=

Drive back to Davis on Tuesday was uneventful. School started again on Thursday. Apparently the ghost of Vicki Swett still haunts ASUCD -- Senate doesn't have a permanent meeting room because the room request form filed by Vicki Swett some 16 months ago was missing critical information.
Incidently the new ASUCD advisor, Eric Sanchez has faked his own death and fled left for a better job. We currently don't have an ASUCD Advisor. The world will probably end.

Finally saw the movie Wedding Crashers with Gabi. I thought John McCain had a cameo in it -- did I miss it or was that another movie?
Serenity, the movie based on that awesome show Firefly that Fox cancelled with their immense banhammer, is out now. I haven't seen it yet. I must see it with asapness.
Kristy and I saw Green Day & Jimmy Eat World at the Arco Arena on Friday night. After waiting in a long line to get in, the security guard told me I had to go put my wallet chain in the car. So I trekked back to the car, which we'd parked at the far end of the parking lot for easy escape, and jostle through the line again. New security guard tells me I need to go put my wrist-thing in the car because it has "raised spikes on it." This despite the fact that he let numerous girls with the same bracelet through, and my belt & Kristy's belt are the exact same material and apparently not objectionable -- even though belts are an established tool for whaling on people, and I'm even less likely to whallop someone with my wrist than I am with a gavel.
So I asked him to make sure there was nothing else objectional on my person and trekked to the car and back again. Finally I was deemed fit to pass through the security checkpoint. The place was totally swarming with little 16 year old girls. Kristy and I ended up in literally the furthest row in the arena, but hey, who has $120 for floor space really? Also the 13 yr old girl next to us was wearing dominatrix pants and I found it quite disturbing. But yeah the show was great and I had a great view anyway -- of Kristy rocking out, which is better than watching the band anyway. Kristy has mad dancin skills.

Last night, Saturday night, Kristy's old roommate Joe came back (he graduated) and had dinner with Kristy & Jadine. Then he had to leave because his shift at the Budweiser factory started at midnight (& he works 12 on, 2 days off, 12 days on...). Then her new roommate Eli brought back all these little liquor bottles from the country club he works at and so we bonded with her new roommates (Becca & Eli) over shots. I'd provide pictures, but I left my camera transfer thing in OC! )=>
Then Kristy & I caught up with Sashie & company at this party off I street. Then Kristy's nemisis Chris Bunch stole Sashie from us. But it was a fun little shindig other than that.

Kristy's new roommate Becca discovered Steel Reserve and loved it.

   Two Years Ago Thursday:
Kristy's Birthday Party 2003 - My buddy Kristy tries to jock her old friend Joe, but he's become a pot-head and we haven't seen him since. Kristy tries to get me to seduce Joe's woman Alma, but I lack the skills. Actually I think everything went heyfire and Kristy and I ended up making out or something. O=
Two Years Ago Friday: Our Weekend Starts on Monday - Monday nights are for partying. And everyone loves Steel Reserve.
Two Years Ago Yesterday: In Old Ironsides With Azver - And Akila and Nat. This was obviously before Akila was declared an enemy of the people, on account of her being a bourgeoisie class-enemy.
Two Years Ago Today: Free Apples - As society crumbles.
Year Ago Thursday: Kristy's Birthday Party 2004 - With pictures provided by Gabi.

I've been WAY too busy lately - I'm down to like one entry per week. This is totally not acceptable.

So on Saturday we had the school open house, "Picnic Day." Traditionally, in addition to all kind of people and families (people's relatives? Davis city residents?) flooding the campus to see the many exhibits and things, the entire student body begins drinking as soon as they awake and proceed to stumble around town all day.

Our drink of choice in this case was actually rather classy -- at various intervals we'd all do a few irish car bombs, which one of Jadine's friends remarked "tastes like a milkshake!" We didn't get started on this however until about noon, at which point Sashie's roommates had already consumed 6 bottles of champaign, one bottle of tequila, and several bottles of Coleman's homemade wine.
Among other things we saw my friend Roxie's band play and they were awesome.
Eventually we ended up at Sashie's place, where the St Patricks Day Party and numerous other ones had taken place. And my former roommate Jill showed up and hung out with us which was cool.

My pictures from picnic day are up HERE.

I got a bunch of pictures I really like but this is the only one that seemed to really say "picnic day!" (because, well, it does), and I felt like I needed to put a really picnic day picture up.

In Other News
I was accepted as a pledge by Phi Alpha Delta.
There's a new Pope apparently. The former head of the former Department of the Inquisition no less!
