Last Week I stayed in San Diego until Wednesday morning. This allowed me to go to Taco Tuesday at Fred's not once, but twice.
During the day I met my friend Liz from high school and her roommate Mallory for drinks. I didn't realize they had Fred's in mind until we got there, but hey I'm not going to say no to the $2 margaritas.
Later that evening Kristy & I had already planned on going to Taco Tuesday at Fred's, and so we went. This time in addition to the margaritas we had delicious $2 calamari tacos. Then Kristytoes and I went to The Aerobar, which is this quaint little bar near the airport. It was strongsauce.

This Weekend Kristy & I went to the San Diego zoo to see the hoglets -- three week old little African Red River Hogs. They were definitely cuties. We also found the Turkmenistani Caracals quite wakeful, and had to put up with certain other onlookers repeatedly remarking on how "cat-like" there were -- I wanted to throttle them while yelling "they ARE cats you nimrod!!" And the Ratels were cuties as usual but every 2 minutes a new onlooker would show up and say "oh look a skunk!" Kristy & I think there should be a "no dumb people" day at the zoo or something.

It turns out there are several of this Fred's place around, so I decided I needed to check out the one near me in Laguna Niguel. So I was able to roust up Eric Talevich (AKA [livejournal.com profile] citizene) and Alex Hughes for the adventure.
While waiting for a table I ran into my old friend Veronica Borrowdale (whom I met at the UCI MUN conference 2001). Since her friends already had a table and a half in the back corner she welcomed us to join them and we thus bypassed the huge wait. Inside I ran into my friend Lily, whom I went to both HS and Davis with.
After we had our fill of delicious tacos and margaritas (and chips!), Eric, Alex, & I went to a nearby bar where Alex had a friend working. Eric & I beat Alex at a game of pool but then she won the second one.

Picture of the day

Rocketing hoglets at the San Diego Zoo!!
You're gonna have to deal with this huge picture, because they're too cute to reduce!

Breaking News: Stacey (my little brother's girlfriend) just brought home three wee baby bunnies, whose home had been destroyed by the gardners at her work. Their eyes aren't even open yet.

Six Months

May. 10th, 2004 03:43 am

Saturday was Kristy and I's six month anniversery.

We started out our day at the Farmer's Market at 11am. I had a danish there.
Then we went to the Whole Earth Festival on campus. The denizens of the WEF: they look like hippies, they smell like hippies, but they sure are into capitalism. And the question remains, where do they go at night?

That evening Kristy and I went to the newest (and only one we haven't been to yet) Thai place in town, Thai Bistro. Thai Bistro was ranked best Thai restaurant in town by the Aggie.
Its certainly at the very least a contender with Thai2k, and possibly better.. more research is certainly necessary. For the extremely high quality of the food the prices were very reasonable. I got a calamari dish and I believe it was only around $7.50.
I can't wait till I have an excuse to go again.. hmm it IS my birthday this upcoming Friday...

On that note, it is my 22nd birthday this Friday, May 14th. Having been unable to find a location to host a party on the scale I did last year I don't know what I'm going to do. /=

I have extra tickets to the prescreening of Troy here on Thursday if anyone wants them.

Finally got on a computer today around 1700hours to find my email inbox at 108% of capacity, about 15% of which was spam email.

Went to the Unlistola House (where the bands Unless and The List reside on Loyola street) for their halloween party. It was hella crowded (crowd estimated at 300 persons by Sue), and there were of course bands, and Eric's Noxious Brew, which is far from "noxious" (though Kristy couldn't get over the fact that it was blue). I definitely got my mosh on to one of the bands (and I hear there are pictures of this, so hopefully I'll get my hands on them soon).. and my costume...
...it started out with a joke. Filling out that livejournal trick or treating meme thing I tried to think of something rather ridiculous for a costume.. coming up with "weapons of mass destruction." But then I started thinking about it.. and you know what happens when I do THAT. Needless to say, with a yellow radiation symbol on the front of my shirt and a big black biohazard sign on the back and my sleeves, and "DOOM" written on my arm, I WAS "weapons of mass destruction."

Saturday Kristy and I went to a party one of her roommate Terra ([livejournal.com profile] daisycat99)'s friends was having. We get there feeling a bit weird about now knowing whose party it is, but then my friend Sica answers the door. Now suddenly launching on a completely unrelated tangent here, no girl I know named "Jessica" goes by "Jessica," instead I know a "Jessie" "Jessika" "Jesska" "Jessiska" "Jesikita" and "Sica."

Just ran the issues in appendices II and III of the last lj entry past my legal theories professor, and he agreed with me 100%, telling me almost the exact thing I had concluded before I even showed him my written answers. God I love being right.

The following is an exerpt from the book I have to read for POL154 (Legel Theories & Jurisprudence): The reasoning may take this form: A falls more appropriately in B then in C. It does so because A is more like D which is of B than it is like E which is of C. Since A is in B and B is in G (legal concept), then A is in G. But perhaps C is in G also. If so, then B is in a decisively different segment of G, because B is like H which is in G and has a different result from C.
Can someone PLEASE explain to me HOW that can POSSIBLY make sense?? All I know is it has something general to do with legal reasoning by drawing comparisons between court cases.

Ramen Trove III
I have a green lightbulb in the livingroom which I use as rather a night light, so I don't break my ankle walking through there in the middle of the night (I had mightily stubbed my toe in there before the light). I turn it off when I go to bed but while I'm still awake in my room... anyway it disappeared a few days ago. Finally I ran into apartmentmate Gil and asked her about it. She said she was holding it hostage because I kept leaving it on.. and made no comments on when it would be returned to me. Now I've actually been getting along very well with Gil, but does this strike anyone as healthy roommate behavior?
Anyway shortly thereafter I asked if she was also holding my box of cereal hostage, because I had left it on the counter as evidence that it was to be community property and it had disappeared. She said she had put it on my shelf.. a short investigation revealed that the shelf she'd put it on everyone assumed to belong to someone else, whereas in reality its contents were abandoned from the year before. So I just inhereted some nestles quick and hot cocoa mix among other things. No ramen this time though actually.

It now appears my laptop actually has a hard disk problem. Meaning it'll be even LONGER before I have a computer now. Arghhhhhh

Now I'm late to a meeting. Blah.

aggienaut: (fish)

Friday night Robin Kivlen had a party. It was pretty for awesome. Now Robin I have known since 4th grade I believe, though we have gone to seperate schools most of the time since.. but we've hung out like once a year in that time... so all these people at his party were like "hey I met you once three years ago." It was weird. And then a few Diedrichs kids showed up, namely Olivia, and Alyssa.
Most of the kids were Capo graduates. Lets review: Robin's friends - from Capo HS; Diedrichs kids - from Capo HS; Liz's friends who I hung out with all last summer - from Capo HS; where did I go? - Mission Viejo HS. I swear I should just start wearing a Capo HS shirt or something.
There was this guy Brad whom neither he nor I could convince certain people we were not brothers, and they instead were trying to guess whether or not he and I were TWINS. Way weird. And there was this dude Reno who is like the OC version of Stan I swear: (A) he purportedly ALWAYS wears a suit (B) he can be easily compelled to sing the soviet anthem while drunk. Hmm I think I'll put the soviet anthem on right now.
And then of course there was Laura:
Girl: This is Nigel*
Laura: Yes I've met him before [departs, other girl wanders off shortly]
Me: .....was that... the girl I spent the whole time talking to at that one party a year or two ago?
Robin: Yes.

Annnd then I was emo. I had spent the whole time talking to her at this one party and then she somehow convinced me to dance using her devious female ways, and my complete inability to dance immediately overcame the previous hours of conversation and caused her to abandon me and flee. I totally hadn't recognized her though.

Then there was Wild Rivers on Saturday morning. The general overview goes along the lines of: swim for two hours (inservice), idle about, swim for another hour (deepguard "tryout"), work, swim for another half hour (swim break), work...
I did the deep tryout rescues (even though I'm already deep, and have already done deep "area training," which also involved extensive swimming, we have to tryout every year) with David Jeffry, the newest supervisor. We wasted soo much time and had altogether too much fun swimming around in the wavepool. At that time there were about a dozen people in the stronger wavepool ("hurricane harbour" I think? None of US ever call it that, its just the "farther wavepool," and no, six flags stole the name from us), ALL of whom were employees. It was way funny.
Sometimes we have someone rotating around giving people "swim breaks" whereupon they go swim in the aforementioned wavepool for 15 to 30 minutes. Usually its a set amount of laps or something but this time it was entirely undefined.. I was told "just float around for 15 minutes or something" so I frolicked for awhile.. unfortunately I had just eatin though. And on that note Wild Rivers now has the bessst hot dogs omg.
Also I determined that I definitely do have more seniority than about two thirds of the supervisors.

Eric from The List ([livejournal.com profile] citizene) is down for the weekend, so after coming home for about fifteen minutes from work I headed out to cause trouble with him. We went to Diedrichs and chilled with the crew there, then we all proceeded up to Top of the World, where the usual kind of festivities transpired, only with Eric in attendence.
Then we went back to Diedrichs to get the free pizza hut, which we were successful at. Various people showed up to return to their cars, among them Jessie, and Anna who talked about how this guy whose nickname is apparently "HIV" tried to hit on Anna and how the totally approved of Mike the Horrible Human. Which brings up a subject which I think makes him twice as bad as if he were just a complete asshole. He is totally nice to any female he thinks he might be able to bone. Like.. and good enough at it that he seems sincere to them.
We spent about an hour talking and trying to think of something better to do, eventually going to taco loco at like 1:30. The End.

Some reviews of the story in question:

"glaring misuses of English" -my mother

"Verily, the teacher of your class that is English of 5 must be hated by you, my friend" -Eric from the List.

Its 4:40am, I have just finished drinking by myself and talking to comrade Fish on the phone for an hour or so, and am eating saltines. Such is my life.

So. Yesterday, after several hours I can't really account for but I _think_ I edited my previous stories, I prepared to go out and be sociable.
Firste I went to Robotmedia, a student film showcase thing that started at 18:00. Some of the films like, sucked ass? Yea, they certainly did. And some of them rocked the casbah. Don starred in one that was pretty cool, and Arjun and Eric totally made one that was pretty cool too. I think part of the reason I find Tim's reviling is that the song itself which dominates most of the film I find reviling and it grates upon my ears.

That ended at around nineteen-thirty, and I proceeded hom. Returning home my eyes happened upon the Modus flyer on my desk at around 20:15, and as they had started playing at Borders at 20:00 I scampered off to my car.
I arrived at Borders just as Arjun and Eric were arriving, so the three of us watched Modus for a bit.
Shortly we proceeded on to Delta Venus Cafe (The Hippie Spawning Grounds), where Arjun and Eric's band The List was to play. But first Stan Obklobzija and his band, The Men In Black Pajamas. Silly hippies, I couldn't understand the lyrics to the song they announced had a political messege (They're hard core, one can rarely understand the lyrics), but I'd put money on it NOT being the kind of political messege the hippies would like. Another song they played that the hippies are prolly lucky they didn't pay attention to was titled "Allah, Jihad!" or something. I believe that is either completely different or a mutation of their song "Allah Akbar, KABOOM!"
Feeling strangely famished I purchased a package of chocolate mini-doughnuts from Fast and Sleazy next door. Shortly thereafter someone randomly offered me the remains of a peach pie, so my friends and I partook of that.

So yea.. that was that. And a lot of the usual people were there. So we lurked about, and the two things which I have determined will ALWAYS happen when we all get together happened: (1)They had a raptor-screaming competition, (2) there was wrestling.

Ate at Fuzios with me mum.. then had cake at aunt and uncles. Tomarrow morning mother goes back home via train

Party at The List House / "The Loyola House" / that place really needs a name. I think its the third time now I've been at a party there... at least three times. Both Eric and Sue are down with my plot to have a massive Krispalooza there on May 17th to celebrate my May 14th 21st birthday. This party was pretty mellow, especially compared to the 200 person 8 band Sachipalooza which was there last time. Pretty much all the regular people were there.. and not overly many less regular people, so it was just kinda like... the scensters kickin it together.
I of course drew a large snail on the whiteboard, as is tradition. Later on I found that someone had written "EMOSNAIL" next to it. I made some joke about livejournals to someone else I didn't know later by the bonfire, and she was like "oh you have a livejournal? Whats it called?" "emosnail" "oh YOU'RE emosnail."

Earlier I updated the "Mallet Cadence" poem, because in its previous form it wasn't really written to be a poem, but kinda had the makings of one. So I hammered it into a more poetic form, but its still relevant to last quarter when it was written; ie my room is no longer THAT cold (still gets rather cold though) and I no longer have the schedule from hell, but anyway...

MALLET CADENCE II
   Terminally emo,
   Optimistically defiant,
   Reason and Logic,
   My weapon my shield.

   Schedule from hell,
   Freezing room,
   These more indomitable,
   These my defeat,
   Red glow my retreat.

I also highly recommend checking out "Roxy" by Diane (roxymartini), Annie's cousin and someone who knows my brother Tobin. Craziness.

I am also now the representative of the Aardvarkia region in the UN at nationstate.net. Muahahaha.

Last night it was like totally pouring rain at 4am. I was stoked about that. Not that I was out and about at 4am hehe eh heh heh uh.

Drove over to IHOP to finally pick up my pay checks. Chris was there. Yea so he didn get sent to jail.. apparently he was just totally tripping out on shrooms or something. Paychecks amounted to $351.11. On like Monday or Tuesday I'd picked up my financial aid check, which was $1,382.50. AND I got paid the $40 yesterday of course, meaning this week I was paid a total of $1,773.61. Good times.

It is currently Friday night, and so far I haven't heard of anything worth doing. I am currently of the opinion that people in general are very overrated and about ready to shut down all attempts to have a social life so.. yea.

And continuing in my series of tangents regarding the Dominion of Blehtahepdakorum; I shall now elaborate on the names of its officials. I have found it quite amusing thinking up interesting names for the various people I attribute things to; in my procrastination I've made a few posts regarding things in the forum there, and always attribute it to someone.
The head of state is of course the Holy Emperor Blehtahepdakor XIV, who has not yet made any statements himself but is always referred to with great reverence, and on whose behalf everything is attributed.
The Minister of State, who makes the most important announcements in the UN has been named as Grand Moff Spiridonovic Ibtrixenetox. Todays report on our national animal, the Saber-Toothed Snail, was made by the Minister of the Environments, Lt General Zyedendedredex Boot. Yes, you know its an oppressive nation when say the minister of environments is a general. Other names of note are Iblix Bleeghmare, and Kleb Dedroehederex.

I think I'll name my second child Zyedendedredex...

Thats Nick, and I'm pretty sure he didn't read my last livejournal entry... its just coincidental.

   Anyway, my Wednesday:
Around 15:00 I saw the movie "Willard" with Anna. The white rat in the movie that controls all the black rats? Totally racist. Hehe. Anyway, interesting movie.
From there I proceeded down to Laguna Beach to eat at Taco Loco with Angelique. After we each spent half an hour looking for parking (and unbeknownst to us at the time, ended up parking right next to eachother) we were joined by Angelique's friend Eddie and partook of Taco Loco. ::drool::
The three of us then proceeded to Chain Reaction for the show there.
Arriving at the venue I was immediately hailed by the band Solemite regarding the shirt I was wearing "Locale AM rocks! They're from our home town!" Followed shortly by "did you see them play with Sum41?" to which I of course respeonded "uh I helped put on that show." As to my explanation that I'm with Entertainment Council at UC Davis, they were like "you mean like The Lounge?" and I was like "yea exactly" and they were like "oh we did that once like three years ago" and it was all around pretty cool.
Anyway then I was told by someone else that the show was sold out. And of course I was the only one out there who hadn't already bought a ticket. Upon inquiring if the rumours were true at the box office window however, The Man, said he had one ticket left. Which I promptly purchased. So that scare was only momentary.

The show was pretty cool. I was there for Solemite, Suburban Legends, and Mustard Plug. A bunch of the old suburban legends regulars were there, Bubba, Roxy, Fil, Michelle and of course OC Ska Joe. Eric from The List was there I believe; we'd planned on meeting up there, but I never ran into him. )=

Angelique, Eddie and I returned thereafter back to Laguna Beach, where my car had remained. Bidding them adieu I set off to return home. Needless to say my evening was just begining at that point.
Approaching the El Toro onramp onto The Five, I discovered there was an In-n-out there that had not previously been there. It sounded like a good idea at the time so I pulled into the parkinglot and attempting to exercise some freestyle parking in the lot. Egressing my car I was very disappointed to find that my parking job looked completely mundane, I proceeded to order a double-double, consume it, and head off on my way again, innocently thinking that was the last I'd hear of that little experience...

Passing by the Diedrichs off La Paz around 12:30, I remembered that everyone had still been there at that time the previous day, so I looked over at the diedrichs as I passed and sure enoguh there were people sitting in front of it. This is two hours after the place closes mind you.
So I swing into the lot and join them. The group at this point consists of Alyssa, Jobee, Jobee's Ex, and another guy who kinda reminds me of Silent Bob, only he wasn't as silent, and had a goatie. The whole group soon resolves to head off to Dee-oh-Ay (Dennys Off Alicia).
Arriving there we spend most of the time plotting revenge on Alyssa's Apartmentmate. This actually involved a diagram of the apartment. Quote of the evening, by the silent bob character: "what does that spell?" Alyssa: "what? K (Kitchen) .. L (Living Room) .. A (Alyssa's room) .. N (Nikki's room)... uhhh shit."
And then as we were loitering out front preparing to arrive, who should arrive but the girl who had been working at the in-n-out; who of course recognized me.. so yea now I'm the guy who shows up at every late night food establishment. fifty points to me.

Number of people who have asked me "is that a tattoo?" regarding the phone number on my arm total thus far, in completely seperate incidents: 3

So I did in fact get a ride down here with Eric from The List. It was way convenient. As per my standard operating procedures, I managed to sleep most of the ride down here, making it feel like a half hour trip.
Arriving here sometime shortly after six, I had dinner and about two hours later was at "Hotshot's Billiards" with Sally and some of her friends. I totally got my ass kicked at pool by anyone and everything in the vicinity. Later on Sally and them proceeded to San Diego, where they intended to spend the night and get their party on tomarrow. I coulda gone, it woulda been way fun and spontenious and adventurous, but I just need to rest it up back home just a wee bit before I start getting crazy. At the prospect of me going out tonight my parents already were like "so how are we going to keep from going insane this time?" or something. Every time I come down it takes all of about two hours until heated arguments about whether or not I can go out and how late I can stay out and whatnot begin. Yes, they do still actively endeavor to control what I do, how late I'm out, and where I go when I come back home. Its good times. d=

But other than that they're good people you know? I just wish they could somehow get over the control thing. "well we worry" says mother, and thats all good and well, but her worrying is waaay too intrusive upon my life. Anyway this tangent is slightly out of place because aside from that one comment they really didn't give me much trouble getting out tonight. Mum was like "if you're home by morning --I mean if you're awake -- you WILL be home" and it was funny. I was like "if I'm home... ::devious smile::." (She was talking about what would be for breakfast).

Conversation with Eric from The List
Kris: "so you went to Laguna Hills HS?"
Eric: "yea.. but I didn't really know anyone there."
Kris: "did you know Robby MacIntyre?"
Eric: "uh, yes actually."
I sure showed him, got someone he knew on my first guess. It did prove to be the only person I could name that he knew though.

Last night in Davis before heading back for Spring break... and STILL I have too much to do to get any sleep tonight. I think I've averaged 1.4 nights a week of actual sleep for most of this quarter; ie not taking a nap and waking up at 1am to start homework.
Today I was panicked about not having a ride home, but then that miraculously resolved itself:

[20:33:52] Snail of DEATH: YOU Arjun, are going to magically use your powers to teleport me to Orange County within the next 24 hours.
[20:33:53] *** Auto-response from Cman006: im in the house..call the cell fool
[20:35:57] Cman006: actually
[20:35:57] *** Auto-response sent to Cman006: deep jedi procrastination

someone want to give me a ride down south?? )=
[20:36:04] Cman006: eric lives in orange county
[20:36:08] Cman006: and is going to be driving down tomorrow
[20:36:09] Cman006: so yes
[20:36:12] Cman006: my magic powers work again

So... I called Eric and was like "I hear you're going down to Orange County," "yes," "you leave tomarrow?" "yes," "got room for a passanger?" "yes," "can I like.. tag along then?" "yes." So... that was craziness.

Now hopefully my plans to get me to Ska Summit in Vegas at the end of the week work out and its all good. But even if Nick stays on the same page we were on last time we talked, we're still in need of somewhere to stay while there... anyone reading this who's gonna like.. be there? Hmm I should post on OC Ska dot com. ehh.. psha on that.

Otherwise.. God bless the Trogdor Arcade Game, my source of procrastination of choice. Level 18 is a freakin biotch though!!

Aand I should be like everyone else and comment on the war or something. We're all about "coalition forces" this time aren't we. Wasn't the word of choice "allies" just as recently as the Afghan adventure? Now its coalition this, coalition that.
And the coalition apparently actually consists of 43 different states. Including like.. Slovakia*. Saddam better look out because once he figures out where on the map Slovakia is or what the hell their flag looks like they're gonna kick his ass!
And 73-76% of America supports the war apparently. Who woulda guessed.

*Actually I've been to Slovakia, stayed in the presidential cabin and in a secure government compound in the capitol, had my photo taken on top of a tank there... the usual things. For serious. Some of the photos are in the "feelin artsy" category of my picture pile at photos.yahoo.com/winged_snail. Blah I don't like the title of that category but I can't come up with a better one. I change it periodically. Its just pictures which are there for the sake of I think they look good.. or something. Oh and Slovakia actually has a very nice flag.

ALSO today I found out I didn't get the internship I'd been hellbent on getting for this summer. I'm heartbroken. Or I would be if I was still sane enough to feel emotion. God dammit I don't want to work at Wild Rivers for year number SIX. I MUST get a job/internship in Eastern Europe (like say... Slovakia...) or I am going to shrivel up and die. I haven't been out of this country in FOUR YEARS. So yea.. I dunno.

After having BBQ Pork something at Fuzios, which looked suspiciously similar to the Pod Thai that Antoinette got, and wasn't as good as my usual Firecracker Pork Fusilli (AKA the best dish EVER, ANYWHERE), we went to the show at Delta Venus. Squish the Bad Man, Estereo, and Radio Cure were playing there. Not my usual kind of music, but it was cool. I really liked the last group. My friend Annie was in Estereo, and Arjun and Eric from The List were there.
We ended up not going to the movie we had been planning on seeing and just stayed at Delta Vee until the end of the show.

After all that was over and Antoinette had dispersed I got myself over to Tamera's party. Now Tamera has a well established precedent of having good parties; the kind of parties where there's a finite number of friends who pretty much all know eachother and we just ahve us a good ole time. But this one.. I don't know, something had gone terribly wrong. Everyone knew it had, even and especially Tamera I think. Through some connection of one of her housemates every wanna-be gangster from Davis High was at that party. It was.. ghetto. I think we were all relieved when the cops broke up the party.
Of course several of the most infamous people in Davis were there, like Mike Dugas, who in accordance with party tradition found himself shirtless, and the Freshman, who has somehow managed to endear himself to many people but I think if it were up to me I'd still put him in the Soviet Lubyanka for several months and forcefully instill some social skills. And then there was The British Guy. Silly British guy. And of course everyone's favorite individual of Greek derivation, Sarah was there.

Today I am going to try to actually get an issue of the Chosen Echidna out. I thiink I'm on issue 11 now.. or maybe 12.. its been like freakin three months. If yahoogruops has closed down the newsletter for inactivity I swear I'm going on a killing spree. Anyway, first I need to add all people that have acrued in the last three months to the newsletter list, and then I need to edit it all together.. and.. yea.
But first I think I'm going to draw a snail on my wall.

And in accordance with tradition I apparently have to make a reference to Vanessa at least once per entry so uhh.. she didn't go out Saturday night as far as I know. Thats not very cool now is it Vanessa. (=

Oh and at the party Lindsy, having consumed indeterminate amounts of alcohol, and with an amiable smile, said to me "Kris you know I think your an asshole and want to go off at you," to which I replied "yes, Lindsy, I do," similarly smiling and friendly. And I think it was the most sincere thing I've ever heard anyone say.. when people are saying GOOD things, even if they think they mean it, so often they are exagerating, underagerating, or similarly misrepresenting their feelings.. so yea.. it was beautiful. I think any claims she may have against me are largely related to the AMIJ Incident.

` ` Roses are red,
` ` Violets are blue,
` ` He's probably cheating on you,
` ` So get over it.

` Nick put that up on his front door for the Anti-Valentines-day party, but without the last line. I think it ends too abruptly without it though. Other similar things were on the walls elsewhere (well on butcher paper on the walls). I drew a snail with a broken heart over its head, a single tear from its eye, and a giant shoe above it. Someone defaced it later, writing a text bubble that said "haha I have a hard shell" or something. WTF? Sheesh. Last party someone wrote "I like boobs" on the snail I drew so I guess this time was better. Damn drunk people.

` Anyway, so yea, today was valentines day. I hate valentines day. And its not because "its too commercialized" or because I wish I had someone special to be mushy with or whatever.. its because EVERYONE is so freakin mushy it makes me sick. I aspire to become the grinch that steals valentines day. I'll steal all the cards and roses and everonye will be like "aaaaaah I can't express my affection... my girlfriend is going to kill me.. aaaaaaaa." Yea lets see them survive THAT one.
` Normally I wear all black on Valentines day and I'm totally "psha on this!" But I don't think I did a good job this year.

My V-Day:
` Ran into Anjuli ("The Girl That Had A Boyfriend") several times (She also works in the Coffee House, in the kitchen. Actually apparently I inspired her to get the job. Thats what she says). She wanted to buy me a cookie. Silly Anjuli.
` Bought Antoinette a cookie. She visited me at my work and I visited her at hers (She works in The Bookstore, about fifty feet from where I work.
` Ran into Garian for the first time all year. She broke up with Tom a week ago. Coincidentally Tom himself happened along like two minutes after I ran into Garian and joined us. I ought to tell the story behind all that sometime.. its kinda.. wack. I dated Garian for like three months last year. Tom was her next-door neighbor... dormcest . Garian came to the Anti-Vday party that evening.
` Visited Amy. She was all sick. Poor Amy.

` And then of course there was the Anti-Valentines Day Party. During certain times it suffered disproportionate injections of sober people, but then they'd either wander off elsewhere or become drunk as well and eventually it was a great mix of hella drunk people with a pretty good level of mutual familiarity with eachother.. I don't think anyone in the room was further than a friend of a friend from anyone else. So congradulations to Nick and Chaz for throwing a good party.
` And of course the traditional party shout outs; the following people showed up at the party: Garian Cika, Amie Gutierrez, Arjun and Eric from The List, Jackson Pritt, Damany, Girl from the Bus (GFTB?), GFTB's Friend Andrea, Annie, and two guys who both said "hey I ran into you with Vanessa in the Coffee House." I swear I've only hung out with Vanessa in the CoHo like.. twice. I also met at the party Claire, Priya ("you're the boy I didn't vote for!"), and Supna ("can you just leave?"). Good times.

Also by way of shout outs, I ran into those rather attractive ladies Tamera and Sarah in the CoHo today. They didn't even make fun of my accent. Tamera is having a big party tonight (Saturday). There's a show at Delta Venus today too.. but I think I'm going to hang out with Antoinette...
