Yesterday there was a show at Jesska Ornstein's house across the river in the richer side of town. I need to get the scanner figured out and then I'll be able to illustrate these things with saucy maps and illustrations as well as pictures.
Anyway so I went there from work. As soon as I got there I saw Croat and MtHH hanging out in front. While talking to them some members of Robin Kivlin's band (Jack Bighead) scuttled past. Inside a band was playing, the bassist had a dropkick murphys shirt, and the vocalist was wearing a UC Davis shirt (the dark blue with block letters one my friends ask me if I made myself). Shortly I encountered Robin Kivlin himself, Jessika Powell ([livejournal.com profile] eatrice), Lauren Boswell, Knobs ([livejournal.com profile] ambiguouscase), and Jesska's awesome brother Mikey. There are probably others who I'm forgetting and who will now levy unending hatred upon me. Also I met Croat's new lover, Ryan.

On my way to the Plain White T's1 show I stopped by Diedrichs with the lingering hope that I still might find some clue as to what happened to the former "Diedrichs Crew." As it turns out, I did luck out this time and found Krispy and Abby there.

Where Are They Now? The (former) Diedrichs Crew )

Plain White T's
The PWT show was awesome. I think it was one of the best shows I've been to in awhile. Afterwords I was going on about how excellent it was to Kristy and I think she hates me for it now because she missed them when they were in the Bay Area.
I was afraid I'd be disappointed because I've overplayed most of their songs on my playlist, but at least half their set was new material. I think its the only show I've ever seen at Chain Reaction to have crowd surfers (lots of them), and the moshing was excellent. Unlike a lot of shows it wasn't tough guys trying to show off how tough they are and how violently they can mosh and shove, but people just enjoying themselves, it was excellent.
At the show I hung out with Anna LeLoup (former columnist for the Chosen Echidna) and Camille ([livejournal.com profile] mystiqmusic). Afterwords I hung out with Allie Bloomqvist ([livejournal.com profile] flyinmonkey) and Laurie ([livejournal.com profile] wrong_cow_girl). Incidentally, Anna, Camille and Allie were originally all part of the same group of people but it disintigrated as so many groups do and I think now I'm one of few people who still hangs out with different former members of it.

Last Day In County (Saturday)
Met up with Shillelagh, her boyfriend Petey, Megan, and others at everyone's favorite location off El Toro. Then Shalane and Petey scampered off elsewhere while others of us went down to everyone's favourite location off La Paz. There we found Cool Kyle and Croat, among others.. and of course everyone's favourite Diedrichs employee, Ryan.
Croat wanted to try to find himself a girl. Poor misguided Croat, girls are the devil. To this end there was trekking towards the Irvine Spectrum. Eventually a number of us ended up in a jacuzzi and that was excellent.. until security kicked us out because it was several hours after pool hours.

What with the time change *shakes fist at it* I ended up with like two hours of sleep, and then ten minutes (seriously) to pack for home. Train from Irvine to LA, where Nishan was chairing at the MUN conference I was originally supposed to be at, and rode the remaining 500 miles up with him.

   Another day of slothfulness.

Visited Tiffany Lee Woffington Zoumer. Was dissappointed to find that not only was MVHS not going to the SDHS conference I'll be chairing at (as they'd originally intended), but UC Davis had foolishly not accepted my favorite "Lee Wofft." Fye on the admissions dept!!

Little bit later I went down to the local cobbler and for $25 he fixed up my docs and repaired the hole in the toe like it'd never been there. He said it would take a week so I was like "uh well I'm not gonna be here in a week so maybe not so much" and he was like "going back to Europe?" heh but anyway then he was like "well then I'll do it right now. Come back in half an hour." He could have resoled them for something like $65 I think, and I woulda been down with it since I paid $125 for them and would expect to replace them for about the same, but he said the shoes prolly weren't worth repairin so I was like what ev. Guy's too honest for his own good.

Only other adventure of the day was a brief trip down to Diedrichs off La Paz. For some reason mother was like "I know what kind of disreputable activities go on down there and I'd rather my car weren't a part of it" so I walked. WTF? No really, the car is NEVER part of any disreputable activities and I'M not even involved in most of these "activities." What ev, I felt like walking anyway.
MtHH, Ryan (RtDE), Matt Christie, Croat, and two others I'd never seen before were there. And Matt Christie's dog Vampira who was pretty cool. Croat gave me a ride home. The end.

In the year 1100 my Blehtite hordes recaptured Moscow from the Zulu infidels*. All across the front my armies are pushing back the enemy.
Babylon declared war on me (because I wouldn't share the secrets of gunpowder with them) and threatened to sack my one city on their continent, Blehtia Domini, so I ceded it to the Russians (making it one of two Russian cities now).
Then I traded the secrets of chemistry and music theory (gotta spread the punk rock) with the rest of the world for huge amounts of money. With this money I've managed to double our scientific research rate, hopefully creating a self sustaining technological superiority.
I'm told I'm a huge nerd because I'll talk about this at length.

*It seems to me the specific definition of infidel is "one who is the enemy by virtue of being different from us."

Last Wednesday (03/25/04) I had my last final, ENL113A, at 0800. It was mad easy. Then I said goodbye to Kristy, and proceeded to sleep away the rest of the afternoon.

Thursday: The Journey Home
Thursday morning my uncle Ben gave me a ride across town to the Davis Amtrak station for my 0725 Amtrak bus to Stockton (hour & 25 minutes). Waited there for half an hour and then it was time for the four hour, 26 minute, trainride to Bakersfield. Then the funnest part [/sarcasm] two hours and twenty minutes on a bus sitting next to a crazy guy down to Los Angeles' Union Station. Fifty-five minute wait thee and then hour and three minute train ride to Irvine station. Total time: 10 hours, 47 minutes.
No I didn't time everything, those are the official times I was given.

That evening I just loafed about at home and took it easy.

Friday: Return to Diedrichs
Friday afternoon I went on some adventures with Shalane ([livejournal.com profile] impotent_dream). She's been drug-free for 66 days now and its so nice to have sober Shillelagh back and I'm so happy for her.
She's in Mexico now for the weekend.
I really like her latest drawing Fig. S20 (apparently thats even a bad scan). Compare to pre-drugs Fig. S19.

Then my good friend Alex called and her and her friend Oi Kelly came to visit me. Our initial plan was to stop by infamous Diedrichs off La Paz to get coffee and then come up with a new plan and have adventures elsewhere. Arriving at Diedrichs at around 9pm, we ended up staying there until about 1am.
At first there didn't seem to be very many locals there that I knew.. just this guy Ryan who works there and Tristan.. then Croat ([livejournal.com profile] inequity) showed up, and Cool Kyle, and MtHH (who was suprisingly agreeable).
Then, most suprising of all, my cousin Holly ([livejournal.com profile] bobolly), and her boyfriend / our longtime family friend Eric Shamay ([livejournal.com profile] shamster) showed up; apparently because they were in the area and suspected correctly that they could find me there.

Tried this "Cisco" alcohol Croat's been raving about. Tasted like utter crap but it did give me a rather pleasent buzz with no inkling of sickness its true (going down it felt like it was gonna make me sick though). How can you be hard core drinking something strawberry flavoured though?

Mother just got a new job working in the office of the Assistant Vice Chancellor of Communications at UCI.

Eric (Lance Corporal Fricke) had actually just started working at mother's previous place of employment, The Yarn Lady when he got notified of his immenent departure. He promptly was like "eff that!" and after a career of one day retired from the Yarn Lady.

I used my last package of Knox Gelatine trying (rather unsuccessfully) to spike my hair on Friday. I'm now on a mission to discover a more effective way of doing it, since spiking with the gelatine is just about impossible to do alone.
I washed out my miserable attempt at spiking with gelatine after it had been in less than three hours and tried again with this weird gel Shalane's friend gave me and it worked pretty well. I want to experiment with murrey's wax and aquanette hairspray next.. and if I get desperate maybe look into this egg white thing.

aggienaut: (Default)

So today was my last day in Orange County. I was already thinking I've seen a lot of people I used to know this break, but today alone I saw piles of old friends.

So I hunted down my old friend Nick Lucas and caught up to him at the Mission Viejo Mall ("The Shops at Mission Viejo," wtf?). While in the mall I ran into Monte's girlfriend (my little brother's best friend), and apparently my little brother's woman saw me there as well (possibly in a completely seperate incident? Because she wasn't with the other girl at the time).
Then later I go with him to starbucks uh some indie coffee shop uhhh ::shifty-eyes::, and Jessica Hanson, whom I went to school with from elementry school through HS is working there.. and this girl Bree who used to work at wild rivers is there as well.

Later on I go on down to Diedrichs, and in addition to all the regular people, Courtney Grasinger shows up (from my HS chemistry class), followed shortly by Jason Nelson, another person I went to school with from elementry school through HS.
Then I buy "cool" Kyle (I guess there must be an "uncool kyle" but I've never met him) and Mike tHH 40s of steel as their christmas presents. While at Viejo Liquor I run into Akbar Khan. Back at Diedrichs, Kerry Wilcox stopped by, then in completely unprecedented behavior my little brother and his friends drove by, apparently with the sole purpose of yelling "eurotrash!!" at me. Then Kyle, Mike tHH, Laney and I went to Target because Kyle just got kicked out of his house and needed thermal underwear. Kyle and Mike tHH currently live in Kyle's car.
Shalane currently has pinkish orange hair.

Then EVERYONE decided to go to the Irvine Spectrum. And by everyone I mean Cool Kyle, Mike tHH, Shalane, Croat, Matt Morgan, Stephanie & her boyfriend Tom, Tristan and myself. So we all up and carpooled ourselves over there like the big happy family we are in three cars.
Much mischief was then caused at the Irvine Spectrum. While there I ran into Anamica from UCD Model UN. Its always weird to run into people from Davis while down here.
And then I ran into Jessica Hughs, my date from winter formal junior year. Now see, thing with my dates to dances: (A) my dates to the last four dances were named Jessica, Jennifer, Jessica, & Jennifer, (four different people), of whom (B) three I had met at MUN conferences (all but Jessica Hughs). Anyway, Jessica Hughs has spent the last three years in Oregon, so it was really suprising to run into her.

Anyway, after a great deal of mischief was perpetuated, Kyle, Mike tHH, and I rode the parking trolly around forever and finally half frozen got to my car, and we returned to Diedrichs, where we reconvened with Laney and Croat. Then I bid everyone adieu and went home. The end.

DLP the Series - Episode 63
Kris, Croat and Anna eat Thai food, then stop by Diedrichs off La Paz, where employee Megan gives a cigarette to employee Stephanie, even though the latter doesn't smoke and has but one lung. Kris, Croat, Anna and Laney proceed to The Spectrum, hilarity ensues.

I'm convinced that a daily series could be made of the happenings at Diedrichs. Hence the above.

Seriously Though
Part I - Thai Food
Croat ([livejournal.com profile] inequity), Anna ([livejournal.com profile] beatlebake) and I started our evening with dinner at a local Thai restaurant oat around 6pm. Its name was something with the word Siam in it /= ...its on the corner of Marguerite and La Paz. Anyway, it was pretty good, if I were to compare it to Davis Thai restaurants I'd say it'd be second only to Thai2k.
In light of the frequent reoccurance of Thai restaurants in this journal, I have added Thai Restaurants as a memories category, and added "Thai food" as a listed interest.
As usual I had a basil/garlic/bamboo stir-fry thing with beef. Mmmm. Fangoriously hungry as always, I tried to eat Anna's leftover brocolli dish, but alas I've never been fond of brocolli, and was left to devour rice (which isn't to imply the servings weren't big enough, those who've eatin with me before will attest that my hunger simply excedes any restaurant serving).
Alas, Croat whose stomache has never been fond of Thai food was left with a stomache ache from the experience.

Part II - Diedrichs
Next we proceeded to Diedrichs off La Paz (DLP, delta lambda pi) for coffee. There we found Shalane (AKA "Laney," "shillelagh")and employees Megan and Stephanie. As mentioned, at one point Shalanes realized Stephanie was smoking on her break and was like "hey, YOU don't smoke!" "yea and I only have one lunge, but Megan gave me these cigarettes" or something along those lines. Laney than dashed inside to wreak revenge upon Megan, or something.
While there, Croat and Anna discussed possibly naming one of their children "Robatussin."
From there Croat, Anna and I proceeded to the Irvine Spectrum at around 8:30.

Part III - The Spectrum
"And from there they sped boldly, and found Todd bravely hiding amid some small shrubs. In only a few short minutes they calmed him down, and with him in custody they sped along that glorious freeway, the five. And when the road did split into the 405 and the 5, they did not dishearten, and arrived successfully at the Spectrum, that glorious beacon. -From Episode II of the Spectrum Diedrichs trilogy.
The abovementioned applies to what we next did, except for the finding of Tom Colby Todd.

Now for those of you who have the misfortune not to know, the Irvine Spectrum is "Orange County's premier dining, shopping and entertainment destination." Basically it started with a 21 screen theatre, back when that was rare, gained an outside foodcourt, then a plethora of small impulse shops... and now has gone insane with power and built a merry-go-round, a ferris wheel, and more odious shopping establishments such as fashion clothing stores.

Anyway, on with our narrative. They had set up an ice rink there, being the saucy irvine spectrum that it is. But Croat disputed that it was really ice, observing that there couldn't be ice without a zamboni. We continued this conversation into the restroom, where we encountered someone who reminded me strikingly of Kristy's ex Randy. This Randy II contributed to our conversation by pointing out that an icerink without a zamboni is like a baseball field without the line-chalking-machine. A very wise analogy you should all tell your grandchildren.
Us three then proceeded to this place there called Dave & Buster's, to which I'd never been before (meh, I don't get out much). Anna proceeded to get liquered up there. Then Shillelagh ("shi-lay-lee") arrived, but being naught of 21 years of age she could not enter, so we all went to this other restaurant/bar at the spectrum called Champs.
At Champs a drunk hairdresser guy promised to give both Laney and I a haircut for $15. Laney got his number, he may regret saying that. Then Anna saying karaoke. Good times. And Randy II it turns out was already at the bar there, and was like "heeey, zamboni guys!"

Part IV - Dubious Happenings
Thereafter, Laney and I went off to take care of some errands she needed to do. Her car has some transmission problem, making things more interesting. Eventually these problems led us to ditch her car in favor of someone else's which it turns out had even graver problems with its breaks.
We ended up spending most the evening thereafter hanging out with about six guys, many of whom had graduated my HS in years previous to me apparently. Shortly after introductions one of them was like "hey, you were in drama weren't you," followed shortly by another with "hey.. you did high jump right?" A little bit later a third one of them suddenly remembered "hey, your brother had that potatoe cannon, right?" Altogether nearly half of us were named K(/Ch)ris.
I got home at about 4am. The End.

Addendum - Selling Out
Pursuant to my offer of advertising in the last entry, Anna paid for my Thai food (I only had $20s, ill suited to my $8 meal) contingent that I buy her a drink later and advertise the bed she has to sell.
This bed frame, mattress, whatever, was bought 6 months ago at $350 and is still in very good condition. She is asking $50 for it. If interested, leave a comment in her livejournal.

Where to begin? Its been a very long day. I guess the first lj-able event of this 24 hour cycle was at 1am last night. Kristy made me eggs and bacon at 1am. <3

Cartoons
Among the cartoons Annie ([livejournal.com profile] pocketbookannie)turned in to the Aggie to apply for the cartoonist position was one with me in it. Nick ([livejournal.com profile] littlenick) apparently saw it and was like "haha thats really funny... only I'm not sure it would be funny if I didn't know who Kris was" whereupon some completely random person walked by, looked at the cartoon, and was like "hey thats Kris Fricke isn't it!" Moral of the story: yes perhaps it wouldn't be funny if someone here didn't know who I was; but I don't think thats a proble. (=

Quotes from Nuclear Physics
Student, to a friend, regarding the reading - "you know, I actually read some of this - it was pretty interesting!!"
Another student - "What's the Soviet Union? I don't think that country exists any more!"
Quotes from the teacher (remember your slight danish accent) - "a piece about the size of a baseball should just about do the trick if you're having a bad day" ... "these are secrets everyone knows" and regarding the merits of working on nuclear weapons "you get lots of money to play with... you're surrounded by big fences that protect you from people with stupid questions... and the designs are kinda cute." He said more funny things in previous days but I wasn't keeping track of them until today.

ASUCD Adventures
Ran into Vicki Swett in the MU today. Vicki Swett along with Marc Champagne (who's role is so devious he isn't even listed on the ASUCD webpage for me to link to) are the true controllers of ASUCD. Vicki Swett carefully manipulates campus politics so that our ASUCD officials both feel like they are in complete control and do nothing that is not in accordance with Vicki's wishes. Marc Champagne is the Gray Eminence of ASUCD, holding definitive power over ASUCD finances and maintaining the most low profile role as possible. Many high ranking ASUCD officials haven't even seen him. I once was sent into his office on a perilous Entertainment Council mission once however.
Anyway, as I was saying, I ran into Vicki Swett in the MU. Vicki - "Do you need to sit down with legal council about this case? (the real lawyers) Me - "nah, its a relatively simple case ...[the Plaintiff] does want to overturn the whole legislation though" ::Vicki immediately goes from nausiating cheerfulness to icey death looks:: "look Kris you're a bright boy.. I know you won't let the Court do anything stupid again ::extremely piercing death stare:: ...we WILL get our lawyers on this if it gets out of hand." me - "uh, yeah.. its under control" ::excessive bubbliness again:: - "alright keep up the good work.. see you later"
Yea she's not trying to influence the Court one bit. Needless to say I have no intention of mentioning to the Court her threat.. it could only cloud their reasoning.

Because we can't get enough Justices together to meet quorum on Friday, the Hearing has been postponed to Tuesday, a week from today.

Birthdays
Today is everyone's favorite Russian (Sashie, AKA Sloshie) birthday. So we're all going out to eat. They called me to consult on beer purchasing. Wish I could be there.

More Drama

Lest ye be shocked and surprised eventually, know you this:
I do not get in petty arguments. Specifically, if one or more persons I am around happen to start discussing their negative opinion of another one of my friends, except in the unlikely situation that I feel I can say something that will make them go "omg we're so wrong" I am probably going to keep my mouth shut. I don't get involved in petty arguments. Especially when everyone involves already knows everything I know, there's really no point in my involvement and I am not going to get involved. If you are liable to think I am a horrible person because this is how I am then so be it and don't act shocked when it happens.

So where to start? Or maybe I should friends-only this in one way or another? ::shurg:: So I went to diedrichs tonight. Yea. Aaand people were saying negative things about Anna, who wasn't around. Then I talked to her on the phone a little later... told her what they'd said.. then she got pissed that I hadn't talked back to them about it and hung up on me. Frankly I am very sure that they are aware that their main point is a complete lie (that she was going around telling people that she and Croat were going out.), I think just about everyone asked her if they were and she was always like "stop asking me I don't know." So yea... I'd rather let their own consciences deal with that then me getting all butthurt about something they already know.

Anyway, Kyle discovered that the bricks in the courtyard near Diedrichs could be moved and rearranged.. so he was idling playing with that when Keebler (another "Kris" actually) came by and was like "dude.. you guys are out of control.. I bet you're going to write like.. 'FUCK DIEDRICHS' with the bricks" and we all looked at eachother and were like "omg yesssss!!" and set about doing it with the darker bricks. I think they only ended up writing "fuck" though.
Kyle also scored a massive bag of pastries from diedrichs, and I soon inherited it. I'm going to be living off pastries for the next week, I love it.

Suzanne was all pissed cause this boy totally stood her up, and Laney was emo cause her boyfriend had randomly run off to a show without her... and so I remind you all: dating is totally for sucks. I hate people.

QUOTE OF THE EVENING
   "Hey want a pastry" -me
"OMG that is the best pick up line!!" -Suzanne
Minutes later I offered Laney a pastry and she excitedly proceeded with me to my luxurious krismobile, where I "satisfied" her... with a pastry.

aggienaut: (asucd)

So yesterday I wanted to hang out with the Ashlee and Aimee's again.. but Aimee was sleeping. Silly Aimee. So I picked up Ashlee and of course returned to diedrichs. Where they were doing less than usual. I was like.. yea.. the one time I bring a nondiedrichs friend there are no beach bonfires or good times at Top of the World. Figures.
We eventually ended up in a field by Cordillera elementry or something. Kyle, one of the diedrichs kids I think is particularly for awesome (and had been wearing a gas mask all day randomly), got attacked by a soccer net apparently and looked like he'd had the shit beat out of his face.. psha on that.
The Ultimate Dumbass award must now go to Mike the Horrible Human, who has overshadowed Brandon the poser-gay's smashing of Katie's rooftop airfilters, by throwing an empty 211 40 at a passing SUV. If he had had enough skill to actually hit the car he would have been in a world of shit, and he would deserve every bit of it.
Unfortunately Croat got greedy and tried to get free taco bell at ten minutes to midnight, while they were still totally open and lights all on and such. He got one pizza out of it out of pity, but the employees refused to give out most of the food because of it. Let that be a lesson to everyone else to be not greedy. I must express much sympathy for Croat though because he apparently has a massive ulcer right now. Psha on that.

Currently wasting time before going in to wild rivers to do beach runs... I intend to keep a low profile until saturday morning inservice whereupon I'll see if Nikki can give me the deep tryout. Mother of course never tires of nagging me and is trying to convince me to maintain a very visible profile there.. my rationalization of mine: "look everyone knows I'm never getting promoted, so I'm just trying to bring less shame upon myself for appearing to be oblivious to the fact."
Beach runs totally suck ass. As deep guard Stephanie "Guacamole" Gamache said yesterday, "who in their right mind would do beach runs for fun?????"

aggienaut: (fish)

For the extremely concise version of yesterday's activities, check this.

Additionally I met some friends at "the chocobean" coffee shop to transfer them funds on behalf of someone else as part of a certain secret operation (and no it doesn't involve trafficking of drugs). Apparently they had an aversion to Diedrichs. ::shurg::
   Then I swam laps
Then we had us a bonfire on capo beach again... it was tight, sitting on the beach with the bonfire, 40 of steel reserve in hand, while Crispy plays his guitar. Even if he WAS playing dashboard songs hehehe.
Matt told me they are totally hiring at the lumber yard he works at. I am totally going to check it out. He and Laney apparently suddenly broke up yesterday. ::shurg::
Then we went to a jacuzzi. I don't think any of us actually live in the community where its located but we know the code to get in for some reason.
Evening concluded with Katie and I getting free taco bell at midnight. Apparently they do this like every night. We didn even need to say anything we just walked up to the window and they handed us three personal-pizzas and two orders of breadsticks (its a taco bell / pizza hut). Then Alyssa, who hadn been out with us that night, randomly showed up... cause you know, the Diedrichs lot is the place to randomly show up at at midnight.

Spotlight on the Diedrichs Crew
So I realize I'm casually bandying around these people's names like everyone knows who they are, even though _I_ didn't even know almost any of them two weeks ago. And seeing as I like to think that people read my livejournal, and therefore hope that while it may have massively long entries, it at least is not disconcerting like that, I shall explain a bit about the people whose natural habitat is the Diedrichs off La Paz.

The only one of them I knew more than two weeks ago was Katie D'agistino. Her best friend is Laney, whom I call "Shillaligh" ("shill-ay-lee"). Shillaligh WAS dating this kid Matt, who's pretty for awesome. But he's not to be confused with the OTHER Matt, formerly "the guy with the Steel Reserve & Flogging Molly shirts" (or SRFM). Then there's the two Chrises, Krispy (Chrispy?), and Croa (AKA "Croat")(Suzanne's "Evil Ex"). Apparently I am "K-Dawg," at least according to Laney. Also there is totally Becka ([livejournal.com profile] momentsxwasted), whom I just inspired to write The Diedrichs Crew - In Depth. Otherwise there's other people that come and go, but these are the kids that are ALWAYS at Diedrichs.

Life at the House of Fricke
So I've been swimming regularly. As a consequence my dad has taken to jokingly inviting me to go swim with them in the ocean at 6am. They really do this. Like once a week or so he and his friends swim a mile in the ocean at 6am. Wacky. In addition they of course do lots of other working otu too, but 6am in the ocean. ::shudder::. Dad runs triathalons you see.
After dinner the other day dad invited me to try some excellent honey that recently came from one of the hives. It really was particularly exquisite honey. It just struck me a very Fricke moment though... us and our beehives.
And then that same evening (this is all from day before yesterday, when my only lj entry was the quizes), I notice a black widow spider in a jar on the table. Apparently mother found it at the yarn store she now works at... and of COURSE decided to bring it home as a pet. My family is kinda weird.

OMG, further proof that COMMIES are REAL ULTIMATE POWER, though you can see other opinions here. The sorority girl one is particularly choice. And of course, pirates have always been strong contenders for real ultimate power.

and as if this entry wasn't already long enough...

Yesterday around 19:00 I went to the Diedrichs, nominally just going for a cup of coffee, but kinda knowing it would lead to other things (hehe isn't that what one's supposed to do after a date? "want to come up for coffee?"), and sure enough I ended up going to capo beach with the Diedrichs kids. And this time, I actually made it and it was all good. We had ourselves a bonfire. Lessee fully represented we had: Katie D'agistino, Laney, Crow (AKA "the Evil Ex" Chris, as regards [livejournal.com profile] your_evenstar anyway), the guy with the Steel Reserve & Flogging Molly shirts (we'll call him.. SRFM?), and a bunch of other people.
At like 22:00, or maybe even earlier, the beach closed and the cops actually showed up, so we all skedaddled. We proceeded to this place called "Top of the World," in Mission Viejo. Its a park on top of a hill next to some water tanks, from where you can see like the whole city. We lurked about up there till like 1am.. well I left at 00:30 because I was cravin the in-n-out. I had two double-doubles mm.

I bought guinness before we went to the beach of course. And while I was in the grocery store this lady asked me where the tonic water was, because I was wearing my IHOP hat and she therefore mistook me for a grocery store employee... apparently.

They say people with psychological issues often develope them in college because of the stress. I think I'm developing some: I can't leave the house without a sharpie; and today I actually intend to go to the hardware store and buy some red light bulbs because I need my room to have red lighting. ::shurg::

Speaking of which, I actually forgot one of the worst things about work the other day: I forgot both my cell phone AND my wallet. Now I can't bring the cell phone into work with me but it was just a bad omen and really odd because I NEVER forget it.
I got my break about mid-day, when it still had pretty much TOTALLY SUCKED, and I hadn't even run into Shasta yet. So I'm hot and tired and unhappy and then I realize I don't have any money. I wanted to cry. Only, not. I found two dollars worth of nickles and dimes in my car, not even any quarters, and then set about begging for money from employees. I was going to ask Tony, the cool office girl, but I get there and Stacy the Evil Wench was there so I asked some dumb question and ran. Then I asked supervisor Pokey (Gumby's younger brother, no joke.), and another deepguard nearby overheard and gave me a dollar. <3 deepguards.

I just learned today is Friday. I honestly totalyl thought today was like wednesday, and went through all of yesterday thinking it was like tuesday. I love summer.

Survey: Am I a Bad Person because for the first time in my life I intend to not spend the 4th with my parents?
